Bayer officials say additional state restrictions on dicamba are unnecessary

Bayer Crop Science officials say the new restrictions imposed on dicamba use by the EPA make additional state restrictions unnecessary.

“We still feel that additional restrictions beyond what’s identified on the federal EPA level are unwarranted,” says Ryan Rubischko, Bayer’s dicamba portfolio lead.

Bayer crop protection lead Ty Whitten says additional state restrictions make it harder for growers to effectively use the product. He cites Minnesota’s June 20th application cut-off date as an example.
