Science President Liam Condon says there has never been a more important time
for innovation in the ag industry than there is right now.
“There’s an estimate there will be a requirement of an additional 50 percent more food and feed required to meet the demand of this growing population,” he says. “It would be relatively easy to meet that demand if we could just ramp up supply. however, supply is limited by the amount of arable land.”
During a call
with media on Tuesday, he said that’s why Bayer continues to ramp up innovation
efforts.
