Beam appointed to USDA post

The Trump Administration has appointed a new USDA Deputy Administrator of Farm Programs.  FSA Administrator Richard Fordyce announced that fourth-generation Pennsylvania farmer William “Bill” Beam will oversee major portions of farm bill programs including disaster assistance and conservation.

Beam is also a nine-year veteran of the United Soybean Board and owns a sawdust trucking business.
