The cattle herd is expected to end the year the smallest in more than 30 years.
Matt Herrington with the ag consulting firm World Perspectives tells Brownfield that, coupled with strong beef demand, is expected to support high prices for at least another year.
“Choice beef cutouts should kind of hover right around like the $280 to $310 range is what our models are predicting right now, and fed cattle might come back a little bit but really should remain near this high level,” he shares.
