A farmer in eastern Missouri says he’s wrapping up with corn harvest and the crop did better than expected.
Jim Boerding says rainfall was spotty throughout the growing season, but the timing of those rains must have been just right for his corn.
“Some sides of the field might not yield as good as the other side, but it was still a decent yield. We’re seeing yields in the upper 200s and when the agronomists came out before harvest, they were estimating the crop around 180 to 190 bushels/acre.
