Two days after President Biden approved the fiscal year 2024 budget for USDA, the administration released their proposed budget for the next fiscal year.
“It’s a very difficult budget to put together when you don’t have the 2024 budget done.”
Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack told reporters at the National Farmers Union Convention the new budget provides enough money to ensure USDA is adequately staffed.
“It focuses on making sure we’re adequately staffed and it supports the buildings and facilities people work in so we can retain and recruit new people.
