Biden administration to continue their current trade approach

The chief agricultural negotiator in the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative says not much is expected to change on the Biden administration’s trade approach in the next few months.

Doug McKalip tells Brownfield…

“We’ve had 31 nations that removed market barriers last year and 12 reductions in tariffs. Keeping the foot on the gas pedal in 2024 is going to be absolutely vital to continue to get the kind of wins we’ve gotten so far.”

But Kent Bacus, the executive director of government affairs with the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association says cattle producers want to see new trade agreements.
