The swine health director at the Indiana Board of Animal
Health says producers in Indiana are ramping up biosecurity efforts by
participating in Securing Indiana’s Pork Supply plan.
Dr. Kelli Werling says this is especially critical as
additional cases of African Swine Fever are identified internationally.
“Being able to have these preparedness steps done, or initiated at least, right now during what we call peace time can set us up to be in a better position when it comes to an actual disease response,” she says.
