Missouri U.S. Senator Roy Blunt he’s been surprised by how supportive the farm community has been of the president’s tariff position with China, “Eventually, this needs to come to a conclusion. You can only be supportive against your own economic interests for so long before you begin to wonder if there’s something wrong with the plan.” Brownfield Ag News interviewed the Republican Senator last week – who said he does not support tariffs. Trump has since made good on the threat of increased tariffs on China, with China promising to retaliate.
