Brazil trucker protests not impacting exports

Protests by Brazilian truckers over a recent election are having little impact on exports out of that country.

Michael Cordonnier with Soybean and Corn Advisor says truckers in Brazil have caused several hundred road blockades because the presidential candidate favored by most of Brazilian agriculture lost a close election this week.

“It has not impacted the port operations or processors like Cargill or ADM (because) they’ve had enough grain in the silos to keep things going.”

And he tells Brownfield the trucker protests probably won’t last after many farm organizations issued statements Tuesday.
