The USDA says 244.604 million eggs entered incubators, up nearly a million on the week and 2% on the year, with most of those bound for meat production in early spring. The average hatchability held steady at 79%.
186.718 million broiler growers entered meat production, almost 1.7 million more than the previous week and slightly higher than a year ago, which will head to market in mid-spring.
