A western Nebraska ag real estate broker anticipates more sales activity in 2019.
Mike Lashley with Lashley Land Brokers based in North Platte says there is more farm ground being listed for sale this winter in western Nebraska.
“We’re already seeing a lot of crop ground come on the marketplace,” Lashley says. “Ranches, not so much, because it’s still pretty strong when you’re selling an $1,100 five-weight calf. But I think we’re going to see a lot of land come up, particularly this fall.”
Lashley says farmland prices are still pretty stable here, thanks to big yields in 2018.
