
R-CALF USA CEO Bill Bullard says the new US-Mexico-Canada Agreement ignores the interests of America’s independent cattle farmers and ranchers. Bullard tells Brownfield the agreement will not allow the U.S. to reinstate country-of-origin labeling and it does nothing to protect U.S. cattlemen from an import surge.
“We saw that happen in 2013 and 2014 when we saw a 41 percent increase in valued imports coming in from Canada and Mexico,” Bullard told Brownfield Ag News Monday.
