Canada begins process for USMCA ratification

Canada has started the
process for ratification of the USMCA. The first step was achieved Wednesday
with a vote allowing for the introduction of Canada’s implementing bill.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says he wants the deal ratified quickly. But, AgriPulse reports there is opposition from a political party that strongly supports aluminum producers. And there is push back from Canada’s dairy sector.
