At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, cattle futures closed mostly higher ahead of anticipated stronger cash trade and strength in the outside markets. Stronger wholesale values were also supportive. December live cattle closed $.17 higher at $117.12 and February live cattle closed $.15 higher at $122.35. November feeder cattle closed $.17 at $153.30 and January feeder cattle close $.47 higher at $150.60.
Direct cash cattle trade saw a few more bids at higher prices through midday.
