At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, cattle futures ended the day higher on end of the week buyer support. Strong wholesale values at midday and the demand picture are also supportive of prices. August live cattle closed $2.07 higher at $110.67 and October contracts closed $2.05 higher at $112. August feeder cattle closed $1.65 higher at $152.85 and September contracts closed $1.67 higher at $153.02.
Direct cash cattle trade went into a Friday showdown again this week.
