At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, live and feeder cattle were higher ahead of the week’s widespread direct cash business and stronger boxed beef during the session. December live cattle closed $.32 higher at $186.87 and February lives closed $.35 higher at $191. November feeders closed $.52 higher at $250.45 and January feeders closed $1.27 higher at $252.80.
It was a quiet Tuesday for direct cash cattle trade activity. Bids and asking prices didn’t surface.
