Chicago Mercantile Exchange live cattle futures were lower, with light activity, as the trade watched the direct cash cattle markets. Business after the long holiday weekend was generally scattered, but held steady with the previous week, at least through the end of Friday’s session. June was down $.15 at $104.90 and August was $.32 lower at $103.62.
Feeder cattle were lower on the same factors as the live pit.
