At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, cattle futures drifted lower after the lack of positive cash news on Friday. Sharply lower wholesale values and the day’s higher move in corn also added pressure to the market. October live cattle closed $.30 lower at $108.77 and December live cattle closed $.32 lower at $112.97. September feeder cattle closed $.72 lower at $149.50 and October feeder cattle closed $1.25 lower at $149.12.
Direct cash cattle trade is light in parts of the North.
