At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, live and feeder cattle were mostly lower, waiting for the week’s direct business to develop. April live cattle were unchanged at $187.60 and June live cattle closed $.40 lower at $183.02. April feeder cattle closed $1 lower at $253.10 and May feeders closed $1.37 lower at $255.37.
Direct cash cattle trade activity was quiet Monday. Showlists this week are mixed – higher in Nebraska/Colorado, but lower in Kansas and Texas.
