At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, live and feeder cattle were sharply lower ahead of the bulk of the week’s cash business and Friday’s On Feed report from the UDSA, following Thursday’s very bearish Export Sales report. December live cattle closed $1.90 lower at $185.30 and February lives closed $2.12 lower at $188.95. November feeder cattle closed $5.22 lower at $244.50 and January feeders closed $5.52 lower at $245.37.
There was a light direct cash cattle trade that took place in parts of cattle country Thursday.
