Chicago Mercantile Exchange live cattle futures were modestly higher,
supported by the day’s light, but higher, direct cash business. October was up
$.75 at $106.80 and December was $.20 higher at $110.82.
Feeder cattle were up modestly, also seeing limited support from the
direct trade during the session. October was $.27 higher at $142.35 and
November was up $.42 at $142.10.
Direct cash cattle markets were mostly quiet. Activity in Kansas and Texas
was generally light at $106 live, up $3 on the week.
