Chicago Mercantile Exchange live cattle futures were modestly higher on short covering and technical buying, as the trade gets ready for the week’s widespread direct cash business. December was up $.45 at $116.55 and February was $.27 higher at $119.87.
Feeder cattle were up on short covering and technical buying ahead of widespread direct trade. November was $.25 higher at $150.17 and January was up $.45 at $146.27.
