At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, live and feeder cattle were mixed waiting for direct cash business to develop. Boxed beef was also mixed during the session. October lives closed $.07 lower at $184.15 and December lives closed $.17 higher at $188.45. October feeder cattle closed $.20 lower at $261.25 and November feeders closed $.15 higher at $262.90.
Another quiet day for direct cash cattle business. Bids nor asking prices surfaced. It’s likely significant trade volume will likely be delayed until the latter half of the week.
