Cattleman concerned about ordinance’s effect on succeeding generation

A Howard County, Missouri cattleman worries that a county health ordinance will make it difficult to grow his cattle operation to include his sons.

“My main concerns are the future,” said Omer Conrow, president of the Howard County Cattlemen’s Association.

The ordinance being decided by county voters Tuesday limits growth to 300 cattle, making it difficult to expand to a size that supports his and succeeding generations, Conrow told Brownfield Ag News.
