Cautious optimism seems to be the prevailing theme as U.S.
agriculture waits for an end to the trade war with China.
Joe Smentek, executive director of the Minnesota Soybean Growers Association, says word from the White House and Chinese officials indicates a deal is getting close.
“So we remain cautiously optimistic.”
He tells Brownfield the resumption of U.S. soybean exports to China gives him hope negotiations are progressing.
“We know we have a really good product that comes out of the Upper Midwest, especially through Grays Harbor.
