Cheese contest has record number of entries

Championship cheeses on display before they are auctioned off

The

U.S. Championship Cheese Contest has a record number of entries this year.  The biannual event has an 11% increase in

entries with 2,555 entries.

There

are entries from 35 states and 29 first-time competitors, and for the first

time has competition for traditional waxed cheddars, hard cheeses with natural

rinds, burrata, and dried dairy products.

The

judging takes place March 5th through the 7th at Lambeau

Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
