
Soybeans were mixed on commercial spread adjustments. China was the leading buyer of U.S. beans last week and bought 257,000 tons of 2019/20 U.S. beans Thursday morning, bringing the two-day purchase total to 838,000 tons. Reports have Beijing granting tariff waivers on as much as 6 million tons of U.S. soybeans. U.S. beans are currently at a significant discount to supplies from Argentina and Brazil. High-level trade negotiations between the world’s two largest economies are scheduled to resume in October.
