The US Trade Representative’s office says it is using the recently released report Foreign Trade Barriers in its fight against Mexico’s import ban on GMOs. Chief Ag Negotiator Doug McKalip says, “The National Trade Estimate document connects to the specific tools that we are using to correct those barriers.”
He tells Brownfield the case is still pending before the USMCA dispute panel. “We believe that the panel decision will get us back on track,” he says.
