At the Chicago
Mercantile Exchange, cattle futures ended the day higher on weather concerns, technical
buying, and spillover support from the limit move up in hogs. April live contracts closed $1.70 higher at
$129.10 and June closed $1.57 higher at $121.92. April feeder contracts closed $2.27 higher at
$146.92 and May feeder cattle closed $2.10 higher at $148.45.
Direct cash cattle trade ended the week quiet. There has been little to no activity in the South.
