The nation announced plans earlier this year to reach 45 million tons of milk production by 2025. Chinese media say the government will offer dairy farmers lower utility fees and cheaper borrowing costs, plus preferential access to land.
The Chinese government reportedly will help build cooperatives and distribution systems for the milk. They will also promote the consumption of milk and dairy products.
