China is urging the US to
rollback tariffs as part of the phase one trade deal.
The next round of US tariffs
on Chinese goods is set for December 15. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin has
said the tariffs will be implemented if a deal isn’t reached.
Last week, officials said a trade deal was close. President Trump said they were in the “final throes” of negotiations and the Chinese Vice Premier said he invited US officials to Beijing for further talks.
