Ag Director Chris Chinn says the US/Japan ag deal signed Wednesday will reduce
tariffs for Missouri beef and pork producers and benefit other commodity
producers of other commodities.
Chinn
says according to the US Trade Representatives office, American farmers and
ranchers will have the same advantage as countries in the Comprehensive and
Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership as soon as it’s in place.
In her statement to Brownfield, Chinn said the announcement makes her even more excited to see USMCA ratified as soon as possible.
