Missouri government officials are pushing for solutions to prevent another flood like the one that began in March. Governor Mike Parson has made clear to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers that he wants farmers protected, said Chris Chinn, director of the Missouri Department of Agriculture.
“The Governor has made it very clear that he feels like the Corps should be focusing on human life and protecting the farm ground that is there that supports human life,” Chinn told Brownfield Ag News Tuesday.
