The EPA has announced some details, but not all, for its re-registration of dicamba herbicides for the next two years. Missouri Ag Director Chris Chinn says the EPA typically rolls out the full label in mid-November. But, now, ONLY the dicamba makers know all the details and are making their new labels now, “So, we’re waiting for the companies to get those to present it to us. At that time, we will evaluate it to see if there is a need for a state label or not.”
Chinn tells Brownfield they’ll be looking for specifics, “They have the cut-off dates for cotton at 60 days post planting and for soybeans at 45 days post planting but, really, we need to see what more of the details are to know if their changes are going to address the needs that we had last year.”
Chinn says there are SOME similarities to Missouri’s state label, “Everybody has to be a certified applicator.
