There are signals ag inputs will be in ample supply when spring fieldwork begins.
Jay Debertin is CEO of CHS, the nation’s largest agricultural cooperative.
“We’re really positioned well. I’m going into this spring really confident that supplies will be sufficient.”
He tells Brownfield the cost of ag inputs is less certain.
“Pricing will be pricing, and that’s driven by things going on around the world. But I believe supplies will be there.”
Debertin anticipates fieldwork beginning as early as February in parts of the co-op’s trade territory but says CHS is ready.
