Milk futures and the cash dairy markets were mixed Friday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
February was up $0.14 at $15.79. March was up $0.04 at $16.09. April was unchanged at $16.80. May Class III milk was down $0.05 at $17.47.
June through December contracts ranged from unchanged in August and October to six cents lower in July.
Dry whey was up $0.0225 at $0.4275. Twp sales were recorded at $0.42 and $0.4275.
Forty-pound cheese blocks were down $0.0250 at $1.4450. Eleven sales were recorded, ranging from $1.4450 to $1.47.
Cheese barrels were up $0.0275 at $1.4675. Seven sales were recorded, ranging from $1.4375 to $1.4675.
Butter was down $0.02 at $2.5450. Fifteen sales were recorded, ranging from $2.5450 to $2.55.
Nonfat dry milk was down $0.0075 at $1.1750. Two sales were recorded at $1.1750 and $1.1775.
