Milk futures and the cash dairy markets were mixed Friday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
March Class III milk was down $0.02 at $16.57. April was up $0.17 at $16.08. May was up $0.10 at $16.48. June was up $0.08 at $17.20.
July through January contracts ranged from ten cents lower in January to eight cents higher in July. Friday’s Class III trade volume was 1,481 contracts.
Dry whey was unchanged at $0.41. No sales were recorded.
Forty-pound cheese blocks were down $0.0325 at $1.46. Two sales were recorded at that price.
Cheese barrels were down $0.0575 at $1.4875. Two sales were recorded at $1.4875 and one at $1.4975.
Butter was up $0.0350 at $2.8025. Four sales were recorded, rancing from $2.78 to $2.8025.
Nonfat dry milk was up $0.0225 at $1.17. There were ten bids but no sales were recorded.
