Milk futures were mostly higher and the cash dairy markets were mixed Friday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
January Class III milk was down $0.04 at $15.15. February was up $0.03 at $15.90. March was up $0.02 at $16.33. April was up $0.03 at $17.08. May through December contracts ranged from two cents lower in November to six cents higher in September.
Dry whey was unchanged at $0.43. One sale was recorded at that price.
Forty-pound cheese blocks were up $0.0125 at $1.5625. Five sales were recorded, ranging from $1.5625 to $1.5650.
Cheese barrels were down $0.0050 at $1.4450. Eleven sales were recorded, ranging from $1.4350 to $1.4450.
Butter was up $0.0025 at $2.5675, getting back to where it closed Tuesday. No sales were recorded.
Nonfat dry milk was down $0.0075 at $1.1850. Two sales were recorded at that price.
