Milk futures were lower and the cash dairy markets were mixed Wednesday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
March Class III milk was down $0.04 at $17.24. April was down $0.07 at $17.49. May was down $0.07 at $17.77. June was down $0.11 at $18.05.
July through January contracts ranged from unchanged in December and January to thirty-eight cents lower in July. Wednesday’s Class III trade volume was 1,854 contracts.
Dry whey was down $0.0125 at $0.44. Three sales were recorded, ranging from $0.45 to $0.4575.
