
Across the Corn Belt, cold weather lingers. Thursday
morning’s temperatures fell below 10° in much of the northern and eastern Corn
Belt. However, temperatures are rebounding to near- or above-normal levels west
of the Mississippi River. Snow remains on the ground in many Midwestern
locations, limiting or preventing late-season harvest efforts. Current snow
depths include 7 inches in Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota, and 4 inches in
Indianapolis, Indiana.
On the Plains, mild, dry weather prevails.
