Livestock producers have put in extra hours to keep cattle healthy
through tough weather. Vince Buck in Central Missouri has been calving since
January and has been especially watchful.
“If you’re not there when they hit the ground in the cold weather they’re pretty
much done,” Buck told Brownfield Ag News. “We’ve spent more time in the pastures
this spring and winter than we ever have.”
Buck and his dad bring newborns to the barn so they can be under heat lamps and
so that the calves can be given colostrum.
