Minnesota Congressman Collin Peterson, the current chair of
the House Agriculture Committee, plans to seek reelection.
The Democrat has served Minnesota’s Seventh District in
Congress since 1991.
He says the decision to run again wasn’t easy because the
country is so polarized right now. But
Peterson says that’s also why he wants to ask voters in western Minnesota to
support him again.
Peterson is credited with helping shape the past three farm bills.
