Soybeans ended mostly higher but well off the session highs. Strength
came on trade optimism from the possible continued talks with China in
September. Crush margins are positive overall. The Brazilian rèal is lower and
it’s dry in Brazil ahead of planting season, according to DTN. But South
America is picking up much of the demand from China. Delayed soybean
development after late planting is the biggest weather concern.
Corn ended mostly lower Friday, after trading both sides of even money.
