
Acreage devoted to organic corn and soybeans in the U.S. is growing, but it’s still less than one percent of the total acreage of each of those crops.
A Nebraska-based company called AgriSecure is working to change that. Founder and CEO J.P. Rhea says they help growers make the transition from conventional to “large-scale” organic production.
“My family’s operation—Rhea Brothers—we farm 11,000 acres near Arlington, Nebraska and we’re mostly transitioned over to organic now,” Rhea says.
