Texas Republican Congressman Mike Conaway, ranking member of
the House Ag Committee, reportedly won’t seek re-election next year.
Conaway was House Ag chairman from 2015 to ’17. Conaway is 71. In Midland, Texas, today, Conaway said he would be term limited out of the Ag Committee chairmanship if the GOP were to regain control of the House.
The Republican chairman of the Senate Ag Committee, Pat Roberts of Kansas, announced early this year that he will not seek re-election in 2020.
