There are conflicting reports of what kind of weather
Midwest farmers can expect this month.
Dale Mohler with AccuWeather says persistent rains that have plagued the Corn Belt might be behind us.
“And I think temperatures are going to range from the 80’s most days in the North, to the 80’s and 90’s in central areas. Then if you get down far enough into Missouri, Kansas and Nebraska, southwest Iowa, there’ll be a lot of days over the next few weeks that are in the upper 80’s through to the mid 90’s.”
But the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Climate Prediction Center is forecasting a cool and wet trend continuing in the
Midwest and Plains the bulk of July.
