A grain handling manufacturer is reminding soybean farmers of important storage considerations.

Steve Sukup is CFO of Iowa-based Sukup Manufacturing.

“You want to make sure you have a good aeration system, especially having a full floor (of soybeans) and keeping some air going through it.  And keep the grain within 10 degrees of the ambient temperature at all times usually alleviates most storage issues.”

He tells Brownfield grain bin orders keep coming in, which Sukup attributes to the current price environment.
