Cool weather weighs on crop development

Persistently cool weather continues to slow crop
development in Minnesota.

The USDA’s latest crop progress report shows corn about two
weeks behind at 42 percent dented.

Soybeans are more than a week behind with 21 percent
turning color compared to the five-year average of 50 percent.

Peterson Farms Seed agronomist Adam Spelhaug tells Brownfield a forecast of warmer temps next week is certainly welcome.
