Soybeans were lower on fund and technical selling, unable to follow-through on an early attempt at rallying. Planting remains historically slow, emergence is also behind average, and crop condition ratings are low for this time of year. Also, there’s at least some expectation for larger than initially projected acreage. Demand is the big bearish factor and while the recent progress with China is a positive, tariffs remain in place, both Beijing’s tariff on U.S. beans and the U.S.
